THE LARGE TYPE I NUMERAL "1" VARIETY ON THE 1g QUEEN WILHELMENIA STAMP. FROM THE NETHERLANDS, SCOTT #83a, IN VERY FINE UNUSED CONDITION. Kindly see the photos -- front and back -- to view this stamp. This is the Type I large numeral "1" variety -- hard to distinguish by measuring from the smaller T ype II variety. Accordingly, STAMPS OF BOTH TYPES ARE INCLUDED, each identified on the back in light erasable pencil -- place the stamps one over the other and exposing the right numeral "1" -- looking at both "1"s at the same time, under magnification (see enlargement), notice the very small difference in size (height and width), but also notice the difference in the thickness of the numeral -- the more desirable Type I is larger and wider. This stamp is fresh and bright, it has original gum, is beautifully centered, has been previously hinged (no remnant), and is in very fine unused condition.
